What Pan American said in 1938:
The circular model is the most popular of the two types of altos as it has a more mellow tone somewhat resembling
a French horn. The alto is not only a harmony instrument but is also a splendid solo instrument with a rich, golden
tone that rings clear and true throughout the entire register.
This is a very easy instrument to learn as it is unusually easy to blow and the lipping is simple. Built in Eb only.
Regular high quality Pan-American nickel silver valves and pearl finger tips. Weighs 3 pounds 10 ounces and has a 10½-inch
bell. Equiped with mouthpiece and music lyre.
