Conn Baritone and Euphonium recognition guide

Here is a little table I made to help identify Conn baritones and euphoniums based on the bell and valve configuration. The first table is for baritones, the second for euphoniums. Model numbers in italics are for theoretical model numbers that haven't been found "in the wild".

Conn Baritone recognition guide
Valve Configuration Single bell front Single bell up Double bell, large bell front Double bell, large bell up
Top action 3 valves - 64I N.A. N.A.
Top action 4 valves - 68I - 72I
Top action 5 valves N.A. N.A. - 76I
Front action 3 valves 14I 66I N.A. N.A.
Front action 4 valves - 70I - 74I
Front action 5 valves N.A. N.A. - 78I

Conn Euphonium recognition guide
Valve Configuration Single bell front Single bell up Double bell, large bell front Double bell, large bell up
Top action 3 valves 48I 80I N.A. N.A.
Top action 4 valves 52I 84I 56I 88I
Top action 5 valves N.A. N.A. (Note 1) 36I, 92I
Front action 3 valves 10I, 20I, 50I 21I, 82I N.A. N.A.
Front action 4 valves 22I, 24I, 54I 25I, 86I 58I 90I
Front action 5 valves N.A. N.A. 30I, 60I 94I

Note 1: According to Conn's system for model numbers on baritones and euphoniums in the 1920's, the double bell, bell front, front action five valve euphonium should be the 62I. In fact the catalogs consistently list it as the 60I. The fact that this isn't an error is reinforced by the fact that the later short action version is the 30I and not the 32I. The double bell, bell front, top action five valve euphonium by the logic of the system should have been the 60I.
