What Conn said in 1934:
Built in G with horizontal piston (Patent Pending) to D, and F slide, these bugles open up
great harmony possibilities for the drum and bugle corps. Biggest selling models on the market.
Come in three voices, the soprano (86L), 21 inches long; the tenor (90L) which is same pitch
but larger bore and more mellow in tone, 23 inches long; and the baritone (88L), which plays
an octave below the soprano, 24 inches long. Horizontal piston lies in plane of tubing, retaining
typical bugle shape. Can be locked for competitions restricted to G bugles only. Made in five
beautiful finishes. Possess superior tone, accurate scale and easy response.
