Conn Four-in-One Clear Bore

Conn Four-in-One Clear Bore 1878

Date: 1878. Previously owned by Ron Redding

The name "Four in One" stems from the fact that this cornet could be played in 4 keys: Eb, C, Bb and A. It was the first model produced by Conn and was made from 1876 to 1883. The bore appears to have been a #2, which is 0.468". The mouthpiece pictured above is a Conn with a rubber rim, the product Conn started out with after suffering a lip injury.
