What Conn said in 1931:
For Home and Church
Atnthe present time this instrument is used mostly in the home and in specialty acts of vaudeville, although it is often used in both orchestra and band. It is popular in the home and church because with it the player can read music directly from the piano, violin or vocal music without transposing.
